The Benefits of Basketball


 In Basketball you need to do a lot of running and jumping, and all sorts of movements. This causes

many health benefits. It can give you lower chances of getting a disease, and it makes you faster, and

stronger!

When playing basketball your immune system gets a boost and becomes stronger. This happens

because basketball is very good for your health. Having a good immune system can help to fight off

many diseases and illnesses.  So if your immune system is low, I recommend trying basketball. “Work

When you play basketball it strengthens your bones, by providing minerals. The exercise needed in play

ing basketball can help your bones to grow stronger! And all of the crazy moves you do when playing

basketball can help. So if you want stronger bones you should try basketball.

When you watch basketball do you ever wonder why they all look so strong? Well that's because of

basketball! Basketball helps to develop your muscles by all of the movements that occur while playing.

If you also work out by lifting weights, you can improve your muscle tone. Many basketball players will

add weight training to their work out as they get older to add muscle.

If you thought basketball only helps you physically, there is more. Basketball also helps you mentally!

Basketball boosts your self esteem and confidence! It tends to put players into a good mood.

Basketball is great for your cardiovascular health. Basketball is equal to aerobic workouts like swimming

and running. Going  up and down the court and other movements like jumping, gets your heart beating

faster. It keeps your heart in shape  and is a way to decrease the chance of getting heart disease.

Basketball also makes you a happier, and more confident person.

Basketball helps you become more social. It is a team sport, so you need to talk to your teammates in

order to have a chance of winning. This can help you make new friends. If these benefits are something

that you need, then I recommend finding a court near you, or joining your local team.

  1. I really liked that amount of quotes. There isn't too much but there isn't too little. I used to play basketball and it was really fun. What made you chose those quotes?

  2. Great job! I agree that basketball helps you make friends. I did basketball for a while and I made some great friends. I also met new people from watching other games during the tournament. Do you play basketball?
